About us

The Cancer Immunology Irshad Group is based at King’s College London in the Comprehensive Cancer Center of Guy’s Hospital. We are a translational research group investigating the evolving dynamics of the immune system across the tumour microenvironment, lymph nodes, and blood.  Our research, focuses on immune escape, biomarker discovery, and the development of personalised immunotherapeutic strategies for patients with aggressive and treatment-resistant cancers. As part of SAMBAI, the international team tackling the cancer inequity challenge under the Cancer Grand Challenges programme, we are deeply committed to understanding how cancer disparities and systemic stressors influence immune responses, with the aim of creating more equitable and effective cancer care.
